Emily started ballet & tap classes at the age of 3 and that’s when her love of dance began. Emily's dream was always to become a professional dancer. Leaving school, Emily went on to study for a BTEC National Diploma in Dance at Sheffield College.

After further training, Emily then completed a number of contracts all around the world including Italy, India, Germany and Dubai before coming home to travel the length and breadth of the UK as a backing dancer for various tribute acts.

After settling down and starting a family, Emily then put her skill set into teaching and has been part of the team since day 1. Emily says teaching with one of her best friends, Abi, was a no brainer. “All the teachers are ex or current professional performers from the industry of dance or musical theatre and that sounded like an opportunity I couldn’t resist!”

Emily describes her job at The Performers Studio as a rewarding experience, getting to see like minded kids find confidence, joy and a safe space to be themselves whilst dancing.
